Create and manager your Alter Actions directly via AI

Hey everyone,

This week we're changing the way you create and manage Actions.

Actions now live in the tool menu, with a brand new addition: a side panel that lets you manage and create Actions by simply chatting with it.

How it works

  1. Open the tool menu and go to Actions.

  2. Describe what you want in plain language. For example: "Create a daily AI news briefing."

  3. The side panel builds the Action for you. And here it is — your daily AI news briefing, ready to run.

  4. Prefer the editor? Click Edit to open the Action and inspect or fine-tune it.

  5. Test it, then iterate by chatting. "Add HackerNews."

  6. Run it again. Same Action, better output.

No syntax, no node wiring, no documentation. Human language in, working Action out.

Managing action

The Actions side panel can also be used to rename an Action, edit how it works, or delete one you no longer need. Manage your Actions in plain language, right where you create them.

Why it matters

Building automation used to mean learning a builder. Now it means describing the outcome you want and refining it in conversation — the fastest path from idea to something that actually runs.

Use cases

  • Daily briefings: news, markets, or research digests delivered on your schedule.

  • Recurring reports: pull from your sources and format the output the same way every time.

  • Inbox and meeting triage: summarize, extract, and route without manual steps.

  • Iterative workflows: start rough, then sharpen the Action by chatting until it's exactly right.
