Hey everyone,

We just made your macOS workflow significantly faster.

Starting today, Alter’s QuickHub now seamlessly integrates with Apple Finder, turning your file manager into an AI-powered workspace, by automatically having access to your current folders and files, when attaching your QuickHub window to it.

What you can do right now

  1. Instant File Intelligence: Attach the QuickHub to any Finder window, and it automatically retrieves the content. Ask questions, get summaries, or find specific information across your folders instantly.

  2. Smart Organization: Need to clean up? Ask Alter to create folder structures or organize your files based on content, not just names.

  3. Direct Manipulation: Rename files, move them, or process them in bulk—all through simple natural language commands in the QuickHub.

How to use it

Just use the Attach function to dock your QuickHub to your active window, either by:

  • using your keyboard shortcut

  • using Command Palette CMD+K and start writing Attach

Why we built this

Your files are where your work lives, but interacting with them can be tedious. By bringing the Quick Hub directly into Finder, we’re removing the friction between your intent and your data.

Whether you’re managing complex projects or just cleaning up your desktop, Alter is now there to do the heavy lifting for you.

Also working with Bloom

If you are like us, and love Bloom, an Apple Finder on steroid, we are glad to announce that Magic Finder does work with a Bloom window, automatically attaching your current active panel.

It’s available now in the latest update. Attach it to your Finder, give it a task, and see how much faster your workflow becomes.
